Our beliefs at Prepare for English are to encourage and allow your children to play in an English immersion environment.  We always put fun at the top of our list of learning objectives, because if children enjoy learning and understanding English they will have a much better chance of success in the future.

Today you will see your children playing games, singing, and laughing, but secretly we are preparing them for Cambridge B1, B2 and C1 exams that they will need in the future.  Inside our school we have created a modern and friendly environment for students of all ages to feel at ease and relaxed which makes learning possible.

For younger students...

Children will hear us speaking English non-stop and they will start copying us thanks to the repetitive songs, actions and games. In our academy, we want students to be free to choose how and with whom they want to play and, specially at the beginning, we don’t want them to feel forced when expressing themselves orally – the first and most important thing is that they get used to listening and understanding English, verbal production will come sooner or later. Boosting their confidence will help them to, little by little, feel like speaking and improving their English within the academy.

For advanced students, teens and adults...

You can join us on this journey at any stage! For those not used to or not had the fortune to come from the beginning all is not lost. Our method is to instill confidence on you, helping you to believe in yourself and being the guide in your “learning English” trip. We like to offer our help and support to our students, trying to encourage them to enjoy their learning, specially through tricky teenage years. It is not all about exams though!  We understand the importance of being able to communicate with speakers of English for both business and pleasure.

  1. 100% English. During each session the child is totally immersed in English and encouraged playfully to use English for requests and needs.  Every time they need to perform a task it has to be communicated in English. As they progress, this becomes more general conversation according to what is happening around us and in their world.
  2. Atypical academy. This is not a typical academy – above all we develop the practical skills not usually taught in schools. We prioritize communication both speaking and writing, but without forgetting that enjoyment is still key.  Through games and activities we create the language needed to interact, thus making the language “stick”.
  3. No curriculum. We cater to needs of students and adapt our syllabus accordingly.  Our own in-house curriculum is being developed alongside your children´s progress. We use the natural speaking and playing situations that take place in the academy to learn the language (vocabulary, grammar, idioms, etc.).
  4. Fun and creativity. Our objective is to encourage the enjoyment of English in a creative space, therefore, we invest our time in playing, singing, dancing and carrying out different activities and dynamics. In our academy, students will have the opportunity to have fun and will be given the necessary space and freedom to express themselves and feel at home.
  5. Personalized assistance. Our team is in favor of personalized assistance, so in our classes there will be a maximum of 4-6 students for each of us. For that, we combine activities and games in pairs, in teams or even individually.

Advice for families

Many families want to carry on the learning English from home as well. The songs and the games are very important, but also the enthusiasm and interest that you show for English will be a key element. Establishing a routine that lasts about 10 minutes a day will be perfect for the little ones. You should always use the same expressions, for example, "It's English time!" “Let´s sit down”, “Which song shall we start with today?”, “Which story shall we read today?”

Little by little, phrases and expressions such as “please” and “thank you”, “Point to…”, “I like…” or “Can I have…?” will become part of your children’s daily language. Any action you can do will be fine, the most important thing is to relax, enjoy yourself and make learning English a fun experience for you and your child.
